What is a Hair Serum?
Hair Serums are used in two mays. One on the scalp to nourish the roots and scalp and other is to apply on the length of the hair to add shine and moisture to the length of hair
Serum Costs/Benefits:
Because active ingredients are more expensive than thickeners, serums are also the costliest product in many skin care lines. But when applied properly, a 1-ounce container of serum should last months. Those few concentrated drops are super-efficient. Serums are made of very small molecules, so the skin absorbs them quickly and deeply. The active ingredients in a serum penetrate your hair and scalp faster and more effectively.”
Active Ingredients:
Like many other skin products, serums are designed to focus on different actions – anti-ageing, brightening, acne prevention, etc. Because of the high concentrations of the active elements, it is common for cosmetic serums to contain only a few active ingredients which provide intensive nutrition for the deeper layers of your skin.
Texture:
Like other cosmetic products, serums are oil-and water-based, but the texture is oil-free so that the serum can penetrate deep into the scalp leaving a non-greasy finish that allows the serum to be left on without washing off.
Active Ingredients:
Like many other skin products, serums are designed to focus on different actions – anti hair fall, hair growth, dandruff and anti greying, etc. Because of the high concentrations of the active elements, it is common for cosmetic serums to contain only a few active ingredients which provide intensive nutrition for the deeper layers of your scalp.
Effectiveness:
Since the active ingredients are so highly concentrated, a serum will produce more visible results in less time than a simple moisturiser or other skin product.

HAIR SERUMS FORMULATIONS
HAIR GROWTH / ANTI HAIRFALL SERUM
Herbal Extract 82.5%
(Curry leaves, methi, shikakai, jatamansi, bringraj, brahmi, onion seed)
Hydrolysed silk protein 2%
DL panthenol 2%
Sodium lactate 2%
Glycerine 2%
Anagain 2%
Procapil 2%
Redensyl 2%
Biacapil 2%
Minoxidil 0.5%
Iscaguard / Phenoxyethanol 1%
Procedure:
- Make herbal extract by mixing 20g of herbs in 100g of water and boiling for 1-2 minutes
- Filter the extract to use in the serum. Or use ready made extracts or hydrosols

Then mix all the ingredients in sequence and store in steralised serum bottles
How to Use: Apply a small amount in thin layer on the scalp by partitioning the hair. Massage gently to spread the serum and leave on. You can use in the night and leave on overnight and wash the next day or wash off whenever you are going to shampoo the hair , it need not be washed off the next day.
ANTI DANDRUFF SERUM
Propylene Glycol 47%
Propandial 40%
Salicylic acid 12%
Iscaguard/phenoxyethanol 1%
Procedure:
Mix all the ingredients in sequence and store in steralised serum bottle
How to Use: Apply a small amount in thin layer on the scalp with a cotton ball by partitioning the hair. Massage gently to spread the serum and leave on for half and hour and wash off with a mild shampoo. Repeat this back to back continuously for 4-5 days for mild dandruff and upto 10 days for very strong flaky dandruff. Stop using one the dandruff is almost gone. Repeat it for 1-2 day after every 15days to prevent dandruff from reappearing.
ANTI GREYING HAIR SERUM
Herbal extract 90%
(amla, shikakai, hibiscus, indigo, henna, manjistha, ratanjot)
Onion extract 5%
Melinogrey 2%
Darkenyl 2%
Iscaguard 1%
Procedure:
- Make herbal extract by mixing 20g of herbs in 100g of water and boiling for 1-2 minutes
- Filter the extract to use in the serum. Or use ready made extracts or hydrosols

Procedure:
Mix all the ingredients in sequence and store in steralised spray bottles
How to use: Spray oll over the hair on wet hair and using fingers spread it all over length of hair. Then comb or let it dry.
On dry hair also the same thing can be done for a hydrated and detangled feel on hair
DETANGLING CONDITIONING HAIR SPRAY
Water 92%
Cetrimonium Chloride 2%
Silk amino acid 0.5%
D-Panthenol 2%
Polyquart7 1%
Iscaguard 1%
Polysorbate20 1-2%
Fragrance or essential oil 1%
Procedure:
Mix all the ingredients in sequence and store in steralised spray bottles
How to use: Spray oll over the hair on wet hair and using fingers spread it all over length of hair. Then comb or let it dry.
On dry hair also the same thing can be done for a hydrated and detangled feel on hair
GLOSSY LEAVE ON HAIR SERUM (silicon based)
Cyclopentasiloxane 60%
Cyclymethicone 30%
Dimethicone 10%
Procedure:
Mix all the ingredients in sequence and store in steralised serum bottles
How to use: Take a few drops on paml, rub both palms and apply on hair length and wherever its frizzy. Leave it on and comb to set. To be applied only on hair length to control fizz and add shine.

Fractionated coconut oil 30%
CCTG 30%
Olive squalene 30%
Argan oil 10%
Essential oil (Rosemary/mint/patchouli/teatree/cedarwood) 1-2%
Procedure:
Mix all the ingredients in sequence and store in steralised serum bottles
How to use: Take a few drops on paml, rub both palms and apply on hair length and wherever its frizzy. Leave it on and comb to set.
To be applied only on hair length to control fizz and add shine.
